Extended to Sunday, Sept 26th

*Extension Update* Sunday September 26th

ManDemCC and its founder and Cycle Toronto board member, Christopher McGarrell, are joining the Big Ride for the extended ride. Christopher will be leading a ride next weekend with his club on Lake Shore W and we encourage you to join them!

Details are yet to be worked out, so follow ManDemCC on Instagram and Twitter to stay up to date. We will also be sending details as the week moves along, so stay tuned! In the meantime, register to join the Big Ride - self-guided or make a donation to Christopher’s campaign.

On the day, Cycle Toronto will be in the Ontario Place parking lot with our biggest StreetSmartsTO Bike Safety Station yet! We’ll be doing all the normal safety checks, chain lubrications, tire inflations, and more, and this time we’re bringing extra cycling educators to answer your questions. Think of it as a six hour long drop-in Q&A. Want to figure out a good route to the ROM? Come on by. Want to teach your kids proper hand signals? Stop by. We’ll be there to help.

New Name, New Format!

The Big Toronto Bike Ride is about getting as many people out riding as possible on a weekend in September. By signing up, you're joining the movement.

In the past, our September ride has been called The Ride for Safe Streets. We still ride for safe streets, however, our work and why people ride is about far more than just safe streets. We ride for the community. We ride for the environment. We ride for our kids. We ride for our health. We ride for fun. We want The Big Toronto Bike Ride to reflect all these personal motivations and more.

Like last year, we're encouraging people to choose their own adventure - ride when, where and with whom you want. Make your own best ride!

New this year is the escorted group option — join a group of 20 enthusiastic Big Toronto Bike Riders with two Cycle Toronto Ride Guides. The dates and times* predetermined for those routes, and spaces are limited, so, if you want to get in on a pod, view the routes and register now.

***UPDATE!*** We've extended the Self-Guided registration option, and the fundraising window for a special occasion. ActiveTO is coming back to Lakeshore Blvd W for one of the last times this summer. To celebrate riding on the open road, we're wanting to boost the ManDem ride that will be taking place and swining by our tent, located in the Ontario Place parking lot, beside the waterfront trail.

FUNDRAISING

Fundraising for The Big Toronto Bike Ride should be easier than ever — donations over $20 are eligible for a charitable tax receipt for the first time in the ride's history!

Ride registration and fundraising page creation are separate processes. This means that registering for the ride does not automatically create a fundraising page, even if you register multiple people. Similarly, creating a fundraising page does not automatically register you for the ride.
