The YongeTOmorrow project will be voted on by Toronto City Council later today and we expect it to pass. At time of posting, 15 Councillors have pledged their support for a redesign of Yonge Street downtown that puts people before cars.

Danforth Complete Streets Study Drop-in

The second Danforth Study public event built upon information provided in the first public meeting that included a presentation and a short Q&A. This follow-up event was a free-form drop-in that allowed attendees to circulate and explore. Hundreds of local residents and businesses came by showing an appetite to discuss the future of Danforth related to density, business development, and transportation.

Danforth Bike Lanes: What's Next?

Last weekend, 8 80 Cities held a temporary Vision Zero pop-up at Danforth and Woodbine. The reimagined street included widened sidewalks, increased seating and a play area, a planter-protected bike lane, and slower car traffic. It was great to see families and children outside enjoying a small vibrant stretch of Danforth.

Let's focus on making our streets safer - not cherry-picking facts to pit roads users against one another

It's long been our position that better road design benefits everyone, regardless of their transportation choice. That's why we felt compelled to respond to a series of articles published in the Financial Post putting road users against one another.
