Announcing our 2019 Annual Report

As you know, due to the escalating public health concerns surrounding Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) and the advice of public health officials, Cycle Toronto made the decision to postpone our Annual General Meeting (AGM) which was previously scheduled for March 31, 2020. We believe this decision is in the best interest of individual members and public health as a whole. We appreciate your understanding and apologise for any inconvenience.

Our new date for our (virtual) AGM is October 20, 2020.

While we enjoy getting together, an important function of the AGM is providing Cycle Toronto members with the opportunity to view our Annual Report. We’re happy to inform you that the 2019 Cycle Toronto Annual Report is available in digital format for everyone to view. The document provides a brief glimpse at the work Cycle Toronto undertook during our previous year.

Contents include:

  • Messages from the Board President & Executive Director
  • 2019 Visual Timeline
  • Advocacy by the Numbers
  • Finances: Budget & Statement of Operations
  • Acknowledgement of our wonderful community

Our staff and volunteers are already adjusting to a very different outlook for 2020 than we all expected even a few weeks ago. Although we’re practicing Physical Distancing and working remotely, our team is still making positive impacts. As the City’s needs change day-to-day we remain a proactive part of the conversation and continue to work towards making Toronto a safe, healthy and vibrant cycling city for all.

Thank you for your support as we continue to face new challenges in 2020. Like all of you, we’re monitoring the situation and preparing for some financial uncertainty. If you’re able to support our work, consider becoming a membermaking a small donation, or gifting a membership to your friend that’s just picking up cycling for the first time.

Stay safe and I’m looking forward to riding outside with you soon.

Michael Longfield
Interim Executive Director
