Join cycling advocates from across the city to share best practices in how to engage with the community, residents, elected officials, and city staff so that you can affect meaningful change at the 2020 Advocacy Forum.

10:45-11:15 AM - Ward Advocacy Program, introducing the Cycle Toronto Ward Advocacy program and highlighting future growth, presented by Tamara Nahal, Community Engagement Manager.
10:00-10:40 AM - Cycle Toronto campaign updates from Kevin Rupasinghe, Campaigns Manager.
11:15-11:30 AM - Break
11:30-12:00 PM - City of Toronto cycling projects presentation by special guest Becky Katz, Manager, Cycling and Pedestrian Unit at the City of Toronto
12:05-12:35 PM - Cycling engagement in schools presented by Sam Perry, Project Worker at CultureLink’s Bike to School Project.
12:35-1:35 PM - Lunch
1:35-2:10 PM - Sharing your message: how to effectively get your story out, presented by Ryan Shissler, Communications Lead and Tamara Nahal.
2:10-3:15 PM - Coalition building, moderated by Keagan Gartz, a panel discussion on how to build a coalition of diverse voices to support a bold, city-building vision. Panelists include:

3:30-4:40 PM - Meaningful community engagement, moderated by Armi de Francia of Transportation Equity TO and the Town of Ajax, a panel discussion on how to engage diverse communities in a way that is meaningful, respectful, and effective. This panel will challenge participants to think deeply about the relationship between mobility and equity.
