Get Lit! at the AGO
Did you know? From half hour before sunset to half hour after sunrise, you must have a front white light and either a rear red reflector or rear red light. You also need to be lit when it’s dark due to rain, fog, or snow.
Drop by our our Cycle Toronto tent at the AGO on Tuesday October 4th and GET LIT!
We're offering free bike lights to riders to help make sure people get home safe. Without a light, you become invisible at night. With lights and reflectors, you can be seen again. Ontario law requires that bicycles be equipped with a front white light and either a rear red reflector or a rear red light, from half an hour before sunset to half an hour after sunrise. Lights, reflectors, reflective tape, and bright clothing help drivers and pedestrians see cyclists at night.
This year, Get Lit! is generously supported by the City of Toronto Transportation Services and Bike Law.
