Bike To Market
Celebrate St. Lawrence Market’s vibrant Market Street with people who ride bikes, brought to you by Toronto Centre Cyclists! Come on out for an afternoon of fun, learning, and community building inspired by our collective love of the bicycle. The event will feature:
- Free bike safety checks from Cycle Toronto
- Great giveaways, such as the Toronto Cycling Handbook and the 2022 Toronto Bike Map
- A chance to learn about your rights as a person who bikes, from Dave Shellnutt, the Biking Lawyer
- Talks about complete streets, and how going by bike is good for business, from Families for Safe Streets and Yonge4All
- The opportunity to chat, meet new friends, and enjoy the Market Street pedestrianization pilot this summer
Cycle Toronto will be holding a pop-up bike safety station at St. Lawrence Market to provide people with safety checks and minor repairs for those who may not have access to a bike shop but want to get riding. We'll be able to help with things like inflating your tires, lubricating your chain, performing an ABC safety check, and anything else our teams can safely accomplish in a few minutes.
