Ride your bike, get entered to win
Riding your bike all month long can make you hungry and get you craving that next bike shop purchase. That’s why we’re giving away 40 meals on Ritual and 20 gift cards to local bike shops. Starting May 31, play bingo and log your rides for your chance to win. Every trip logged on the Bike Month kilometre and every activity complete on the Bike Bingo card increases your chances of winning!
Bike Month Bingo
“Bingo!” That’s what you’ll be shouting just by having fun on your bike. Every bingo square has a fun bike-related activity that will keep you active during Bike Month. Complete one square for a chance to win a prize or complete all of them for more chances to win.
Bike Month Kilometre Counter
Take a breath of fresh air and get on your bike. In 2021, we’re introducing the Bike Month kilometre counter where you can keep track of your cycling trips and the positive impact you’re having on the environment. Join us as we attempt to ride 7,200 kilometres, the distance from St. John’s to Vancouver by bike! Every trip you log enters you into a prize draw and shows the emissions you’re saving, so keep on cycling for more chances to win!
Bike Month Events and Activities Calendar
Find community events or add your own. Planning a bike-related event during Bike Month? Add it to the calendar to connect with more people celebrating cycling. Please ensure that any event you organize adheres to the City of Toronto’s public health guidelines. Cycle Toronto’s events will all be there and, as always, you can check out our public events on our own website.
Ride a Bike Day

Start off Bike Month right by taking a few minutes (or hours) to ride a bike. Enjoy the freedom of pedal power by hitting the trails, heading down to the park, going to get some groceries, or riding with your family. Share stories and use #RideABikeDay to connect online with people out riding a bike. Don't forget to tag @BikeMonth on Twitter and @BikeMonthPics on Instagram!
Bicycle Safety Stations
Date: All month long
Cycle Toronto will be holding pop-up bike safety stations across Toronto in June to provide people with safety checks and minor repairs for those who may not have access to a bike shop but want to get riding.
Ride the Allen ActiveTO
Date: June 5
The first weekend of Bike Month is going to see an ActiveTO road opening coming to Allen Road. Your voices, the Keep ActiveTO petition, our work and that of other organizations helped bring this expansion of the program out of the core. Take this opportunity to get active on the Allen!
Cycle Toronto and Bike Month
Bike Month remains Cycle Toronto’s centrepiece cycling encouragement program where we aim to get as many people as possible out on bikes, trikes, and more. In the past, we would have launched Bike Month with Bike to Work Day, bringing thousands of smiling faces together on the road, but the pandemic hasn’t allowed this since 2019. The strength in numbers that events like this show have helped grow cycling in Toronto every year. We may not be able to have a Bike to Work day this year, but you can still show strength in numbers by being a Cycle Toronto member.
