About Bike Month
What began in Toronto as a Bike to Work Day celebration in 1989 has evolved to become one of the largest events of its kind in Canada and is now celebrated across the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area (GTHA). Bike Month brings together families, artists, commuters and community groups to promote cycling at hundreds of events all month long. Bike Month 2016 is organized by Cycle Toronto and supported locally by the City of Toronto, Live Green Toronto, CP24, McLeish Orlando, Smart Commute, Bike Share Toronto, St. Lawrence Market, Jet Fuel Coffee, NOW Magazine, and Norco Bicycles. Bike Month is supported across The Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area by The City of Mississauga, The City of Hamilton, The City of Burlington, The Region of Peel, York Region, Durham Region, and Smart Commute - a program of Metrolinx.
